STX Global Training Policy
Our policy ensures a structured approach to both internal training delivery and external training requests, streamlining the process to maximize learning impact while maintaining alignment with business objectives.
Internal Training Delivery
Enrollment in any training offered through STX Academy is governed by the Global Training Policy. Once you submit your interest, your eligibility will be assessed based on the following factors:

Business Relevance: The training must directly support your role performance

Tenure: You must have at least 3 months tenure before participating in additional training.

Budget Availability: Each employee has a dedicated STX Academy budget. The costs for role-specific, external, or team training are incurred on your team’s budget. Your manager will oversee your collective training budget to ensure maximum impact.

Priority Level: Training requests are categorized as either essential or optional for your role to help manage demand effectively.

Manager Approval: You must obtain manager approval before submitting your request
External Training Requests
If you're looking for something beyond our current offer, please review each step of our policy to guide the submission of your request.
- The Business Check

Discuss the request with your manager, evaluating the following criteria:
- Business purpose
- Compatibility alongside job commitments
- Availability of budget (team cost)

If all criteria are met, your manager will initiate the next step.
2. The Need Check

Looping in your HR Business Partner, your manager must determine if the training is:
(a) Need to have: essential for effective performance.
(b) Nice to have: beneficial but not essential for role.

Once established, you can submit your external training request here.
3. The Quality Check

We will review your request, checking the eligibility criteria, training quality and providing recommendations if needed.

If the training is 'Nice to have' and exceeds €1,500, a training agreement must be created in accordance with local jurisdiction.

We will let you know if it is suitable for you to proceed with enrollment and HR will be looped in if a training agreement is necessary.
